Common questions
How is the Kua number worked out?
From your birth year and sex you get a number tied to one of the eight trigrams, which places you in the East or West group and gives four good and four bad directions. The year turns at the start of spring, as in BaZi.
How does Eight Mansions differ from Flying Stars?
Eight Mansions asks whether the facing of a home suits the person living in it, and its good and bad sectors stay fixed. Flying Stars builds a chart from when the home was built or moved into, and its readings change with the years.
What do sitting and facing mean?
Sitting is the direction at the back of the house; facing is the way the front door looks out. The two are opposite.
