Common questions
What is the day master?
The heavenly stem of the day you were born. It stands for you; the other seven characters are each named by how they relate to it, which gives the ten gods.
Is a strong or weak day master about health?
No. It means how much support the day master gets in the chart: born in its own season, rooted in the branches, helped by stems of its kind. It says nothing about health. The site does not judge it yet, because checked against the cases in the classics it is not accurate enough.
Can I use it without my birth hour?
Yes. You get the year, month and day pillars; only the hour pillar and what depends on it are missing.
What is the difference between luck periods and years?
A luck period lasts ten years and is counted on from the month pillar; it is the long backdrop. A year is that year’s own stem and branch, the theme of the year within the period.
