Help keep TaoDial going
TaoDial is a free reference and toolkit for Chinese metaphysics, kept up by very few people. We are looking for people who can spare some time to make it more accurate and readable in more languages.
Translation and editing
Translate tool guides, terms and notes on the classics into a new language, or make the English read more naturally. Native speakers preferred.
Wanted: Japanese, Korean, Spanish, French, German, and others
Expert review
If you have studied or practise Four Pillars, Purple Star, Liu Yao, feng shui or date selection, tell us where an explanation goes wrong or a school's convention is misstated.
Classics and charts
If you own printed editions or published charts, help us check transcriptions or send example charts.
Most needed: complete Purple Star charts
Chinese proofreading
Catch typos, errors between the two Chinese scripts, and awkward sentences.
How we work
- Every statement needs a source. The classics and published charts decide.
- We never predict death, illness, lifespan or the dates of disasters, and never say "certainly".
- Readers' birth details stay in their own browser. We do not collect them.
- The editor approves every change before it goes live.
What you get
- Your name on the Thanks page, real or pen name, or none if you prefer.
- There is no pay. Work when it suits you; one page at a time is fine.
- The site is free to use. It may carry ads later to cover running costs.
How to join
Write to us and tell us:
- which kind of help you would like to give;
- your languages, or the schools you have studied;
- if you can, a short sample of something you have translated or written.
We will reply as soon as we can. We use your address only to write back.
