The Rat and the Goat
The Rat and the Goat form one of the Six Harms (六害). In the old reading, harm is one branch getting in the way of a harmony that the other wants. Xie Ji also places a Six Harm spirit at this branch for 2027.
Why there is no horoscope here
We do not print a yearly horoscope for each sign. None of the classics we use says how a sign’s work, money or love will go in a given year. Those forecasts are modern writing. Your sign is also only one of eight characters in a chart, so if you want to see how 2027 meets your own chart, draw one and read the annual pillars.
Rat years
Recent Rat years: 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996, 2008, 2020. The sign changes at the start of the Chinese year, so check the date if you were born in January or early February.
What the year table places at this branch
These are the spirits Xie Ji Bian Fang Shu lists at this branch for 2027. The book uses them for building in that direction, not for people born in the sign. Folk almanacs later applied some of them to people.
- 歲枝德Sui Zhi DeGood for all building work
- 六害Liu HaiBad for opening ground
- 死符Si FuBad for opening ground
