以上自紫微至輔弼一十八星，俱南北斗正曜。
From Zi Wei to Zuo Fu and You Bi, these eighteen stars are all principal stars of the two Dippers.
Zi Wei Dou Shu Quan Shu, vol. 2
左輔帝極主宰之星，守身命諸宮降福。
Zuo Fu is a ruling star of the imperial pole. In the Life palace and others it brings blessing.
Zi Wei Dou Shu Quan Shu, vol. 1
In plain words
Zuo Fu is the emperor’s left hand, read as warm, solid and generous. A helper does little alone. The verse for the pair says that without a ruler they are of no use, so this star matters most beside Zi Wei and Tian Fu.
