The two stars Kui and Yue belong to fire. Kui, Yue and Tian Ma are also good stars, but none of them is a principal star.

魁鉞斗中司科之星，入命坐貴向貴。
Kui and Yue are Dipper stars of the examinations. In the Life palace they sit with honour and face honour.
Zi Wei Dou Shu Quan Shu, vol. 1
In plain words
Tian Kui and Tian Yue are the noble stars, read as the help of people above you. The book treats the two as one pair and does not separate them. Our tools describe Kui as an open patron and Yue as quiet support, which is a later reading.
Sources Zi Wei Dou Shu Quan Shu, vols. 1 and 2, from an online transcription, not yet checked against a printed edition. The plain text is ours, and it leaves out the book’s harshest lines about death and about women.
