In its strong palaces it gives a firm, decisive nature, clever and brave, with power and rank.

In plain words
Qing Yang is one of the four harsh stars. In the Life palace the book reads it as rough and quick to turn on people. Yet the same star in a strong palace becomes firmness and courage. It shows how much place matters in this system.
Sources Zi Wei Dou Shu Quan Shu, vols. 1 and 2, from an online transcription, not yet checked against a printed edition. The plain text is ours, and it leaves out the book’s harshest lines about death and about women.
